Natural Resources: Conservation & Management

The UF Oyster Recovery Team provides research on recovery strategies of the commercial oyster harvesting industry in Apalachicola Bay. The team’s initial research in 2012 provided research and assisted the community and fishery in recovery. In addition to UF researchers and communicators, partners from Florida Sea Grant, the Healthy Gulf, Healthy Communities project, Florida State University, Florida Gulf Coast University, state regulatory agencies, the Northwest Florida Water Management District and representatives from the Apalachicola Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve contributed to the report.
