The Prevent & Protect: Mosquito Control Messages for Your Community, developed by the UF/IFAS Center for Public Issues Education in Agriculture and Natural Resources (PIE Center), received multiple awards from the Association for Communication Excellence in Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Life and Human Sciences (ACE), including a prestigious Outstanding Professional Skill award.
The PIE Center recently developed diverse outreach programs related to mosquito control, agricultural health and safety, and natural disasters. Many components of these programs were recognized by ACE as excellent communication materials. The PIE Center received various class awards for communication materials, such as print reports, videos, social media campaigns, and web design, in addition to an overall category award, or Professional Skill Award, in Crisis and Issues Management.
