What is your favorite project or part of the PIE Center?
I like the freedom to propose new ideas that PIE Center gives its team members.
What are you currently working on?
I am conducting a social network analysis for a project that seeks to understand the network connections between biology departments country-wide and initiatives that are actively engaged in changing undergraduate biology education. I am also working on some public opinion research papers.
Do you have a hidden talent?
I play soccer almost at a professional level; I once considered playing soccer as a career.
What are you afraid of?
Snakes…all types.
What is a fun fact that no one may know about you?
Before I came to the U.S., I used to choreograph African dances for a youth group in Kenya. In fact, throughout my undergraduate studies in the U.S. I regularly performed African dances as a way of maintaining a cultural scholarship I had received from my college.
If you could have any super power, what would it be?
Power to teleport.
If someone asked you for a random piece of advice, what would it be?
Life is more fulfilling, meaningful, and complete when we always ensure that those that suffer from lack of basic needs also have fulfilling, meaningful and complete lives.
What are your hobbies?
Playing soccer, running, and painting.

What is your favorite type of PIE?
I don’t like pies but if I was forced to choose I would say Pecan Pie.
