Sydney Honeycutt

Department of Agricultural Education and Communication, Undergraduate Student

Sydney Honeycutt began working as a media assistant with the PIE Center in September of 2018. She is a second-year student majoring in agricultural education and communication. She plans to graduate in May 2021. After graduation, Honeycutt aspires to attend graduate school and eventually obtain a PhD in extension education.

Working at the PIE Center has given Honeycutt the opportunity to learn valuable skills in writing, social media strategy, and graphic design.

“Working at the PIE Center has been amazing thus far and I am incredibly thankful for the experience!  I am now confident that agricultural communication is something I want to pursue after graduating. I am excited to continue working with the PIE Center and I look forward to developing new skills as I work on various projects.” Honeycutt says.

Regarding the agriculture industry, Honeycutt says she admires how everyone is always willing to lend a hand. Honeycutt raises Brahman cattle and has been involved in the agriculture industry since her freshman year of high school. She currently manages her cattle operation, selling show calves to youth in Florida.

In her free time, Honeycutt enjoys spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, and travelling.
