Workforce Development: Personality Assessment

Examining how critical thinking style influences decision making

About the Project

Faculty: Alexa Lamm, Joy Rumble
Graduate Students: Courtney Owens, Arthur Leal
Collaboration with: UF/IFAS Wedgworth Leadership Institute
The UF Critical Thinking Inventory measures critical thinking style on a continuum that ranges between engaging and seeking information. By understanding how different people think critically about an issue and grouping people in the most beneficial ways, teams are more likely to succeed. PIE Center researchers are examining how critical thinking style is related to critical thinking skills within opinion leaders. As part of the public opinion surveys, PIE Center researchers measure critical thinking styles and the impact these thinking styles have on personal decision making.
