Stabilizing Apalachicola Bay oyster reefs

About the Project

Faculty: Angie B. Lindsey
Funded by: National Fish and Wildlife Foundation
This five-year, $4.2 million project seeks to determine the best, most cost-effective way to rehabilitate and rejuvenate Apalachicola Bay’s oyster reefs. Researchers with the UF Department of Environmental and Global Health will examine water quality and oyster health in three 10-acre plots, while the PIE Center will work with community stakeholders.
