About the Toolkit
The UF/IFAS Center for Public Issues Education in Agriculture and Natural Resources curated the following materials in partnership with the UF/IFAS Center for Land Use Efficiency (CLUE). These educational materials were designed to educate Extension, public audiences and policymakers about attitudes, behaviors and awareness of fertilizer use and ordinances. The toolkit presents the results of the study and provides further details on how to educate the general public on fertilizer use in their area.

Social Media Posts
Easily post pre-made graphics and accompanying captions to your social media. A suggested dissemination schedule is also included to make sharing simple. These social media posts include general information about fertilizer use, when to fertilizer, and Floridians’ knowledge of fertilizing their lawns. These can be adapted to fit the needs of your audience.
Issue Guides
These issue guides are designed to be educational pieces for target audiences. The text and graphics capture key themes and messages about Floridians attitudes relating to fetilizer use and practices.
PowerPoint Slides
These PowerPoint slides contain text and graphics about Floridians use of fertilizer, their behavior surrounding fertilizer practices and their knowledge of fertilizer ordinances.
