Who can use the SSRL?
The SSRL is available to approved University of Florida departments and organizations. Reservation requests may be submitted through the form at the bottom of this page.
What are the hours for the SSRL?
Groups can access the SSRL during the times confirmed in their reservation agreement. Business hours are Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm.
What is the room capacity?
The SSRL has a max capacity of 30 people. Twenty-four people can sit comfortably at tables (2 people per table), which leaves 6 extra chairs for miscellaneous use.
Does the SSRL have parking?
The parking lots surrounding the SSRL are UF Orange and Green lots. PIE Center staff will work with you to create a parking plan based on your needs.
How much does it cost to reserve the SSRL?
There is no charge to use the SSRL unless you require PIE Center staff support (i.e., IT, facility operation). Hourly rates for staff support can be found here.
Does the SSRL have audio/ visual (A/V) capacity?
The SSRL has a large TV monitor, 4 mounted cameras, speakers, microphones, and a Crestron system.
INTERESTED IN RESERVING THE SSRL?
The UF/IFAS Social Science Research Lab at the PIE Center is available to approved University of Florida departments and organizations. Approval is contingent upon availability and the appropriateness of the proposed event for the space at the center.
Reservation request form
If you are interested in reserving the SSRL, please fill out the reservation request form below. A representative from the PIE Center will then provide you with a reservation agreement. No reservation is confirmed on the calendar until the agreement is signed and returned to Ricky Telg (rwtelg@ufl.edu).
