Sean Carey

Department of Agricultural Education and Communication, Undergraduate Student

Sean Carey began working as a video media assistant with the PIE Center in September of 2018. He is a fourth-year student majoring in agricultural education and communication. He plans to graduate in May 2019. After graduation, Carey aspires to attend law school. He also plans to continue videography as a hobby.

Working at the PIE Center has helped Carey express his creativity while working on projects that leave lasting impacts on the public.

“I like working at the PIE center because it lets me express my creativity while being part of something bigger that informs Floridians about important public issues.” Carey says.

Regarding the agriculture industry, Carey says he likes how important it is to everyday life. He notes that agriculture has the ability to influence physical health, mental health, and the way in which we live our lives.

In his free time, Carey enjoys rock climbing, kayaking, and videography

Fun Fact: Carey once ran a 5K in 19 minutes and 43 seconds.
